Claire Gomes (she/her), B.A., is a criminologist and psychosocial worker. After graduating from the University of Montreal's School of Criminology in 2020, she became involved in community work with various clienteles, including three years working in social reintegration with adults struggling with substance abuse.
She currently works at the Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent, where she provides psychosocial services based on a cognitive-behavioral approach to children and adolescents who have experienced sexual violence, as well as to children with problematic sexual behaviors. She supports families through parental guidance and collaborates with partners involved with them. As part of her duties, she provides clinical training and consulting services to professionals on sexual violence against youth and problematic sexual behavior in children. In addition, she works closely with the Marie-Vincent Interuniversity Research Chair on Sexual Abuse of Children.
Finally, she also volunteers with a charitable organization that fights for the sexual rights and sexual health of women and people of diverse sexual and gender identities.
