Elisa Romano, PhD, is a Full Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa and a registered clinical psychologist in Ontario. She is a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory on the Rights of the Child at the University of Ottawa. Her research dually focuses on adverse experiences that can compromise well-being, namely family violence and child maltreatment, as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of interventions that promote well-being, in particular for young people who have experienced maltreatment. Her collaborative network spans various practice sectors, most notably child welfare, education, and community-based early child and family centres.
