George Tarabulsy

George Tarabulsy, PhD, is a Full Professor in the School of Psychology at Université Laval. He is co-director of the collection D'Enfance aux Presses de l'Université du Québec, and a researcher at the Centre de recherche universitaire sur les jeunes et les familles (CRUJeF). His recent work focuses on the family and environmental factors involved in the development of attachment and emotional regulation, the development of attachment disorganization, and the prevention of developmental difficulties in psychosocially at-risk populations. Since 1999, he has been actively working on the development of intervention strategies based on the principles of parent-child attachment. Much of his work is carried out in collaboration with Quebec's social service institutions. His work also focuses on the impact of prenatal maternal stress on child development and the role that the family and social environment can play in the life of children and adolescents.
