Gina Dimitropoulos

Gina Dimitropoulos, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary. She is a Clinical Fellow and supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and a Certified Family Therapist and Supervisor with the Training Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. She is also the research lead for the Calgary Eating Disorder Program. Her program of research focuses on youth and emerging adults with mental health concerns, chronic health conditions, and trauma. Dr. Dimitropoulos is involved in research regarding transitioning adolescents to the continuum of adult services with a focus on youth involved with multiple systems including justice and child protection services, as well as research to identify the longitudinal impact of child maltreatment and child pornography on the psycho-social development of children and adolescents.
