Kristen Lwin

Kristen Lwin, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Windsor. Over the past 20 years, she has worked at the Office for Victims of Crime and in child welfare practice, research, and evaluation. Dr. Lwin has also served as the Executive Director of a national child welfare knowledge mobilization organization. During her teaching tenure, she has taught the application of policy to practice, research, engaging families in child welfare practice, and social welfare at the college, Bachelor, and Master levels. She is passionate about developing a strong child welfare curriculum to equip individuals for effective child welfare practice and understanding how child welfare workers and organizations can strengthen their practice and system to improve the outcomes of children and families served by child welfare.
