Marie Saint-Girons, MSW, is the interim project manager of the Canadian Consortium on Child & Youth Trauma. She is also a researcher for the Canada Research Chair in Social Services for Vulnerable Children at the University of Montreal. She has served as the project manager of the 2019 cycle of the First Nations/Canadian Incidence Study of Reported Child Abuse and Neglect (FN/CIS-2019) and has coordinated efforts to support the compensation of First Nations families in the context of class-action settlements and Canadian Human Rights Tribunal proceedings. Her interests lie in the mechanisms that shape trauma and healing at an individual and community-level and the ways in which research can be used to advocate for equitable access to essential services for children and their families.
