Dr. Naomi Parker is the Director of Research at Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre and Co-Director of Kindex Research and Knowledge Centre of Canadian Child Youth Advocacy Centres. With over 20 years of experience in frontline service delivery, research, and leadership roles, Naomi has dedicated the last decade to conducting policy-relevant research focused on child well-being. Her expertise spans multidisciplinary team functioning, organizational effectiveness, and issues related to child abuse and neglect. Naomi excels in research design, embedding practice context relevance into her studies to ensure practical applicability, and knowledge mobilization to bridge the gap between research and practice. In addition to her professional roles, she serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Social Work. Her commitment to improving child welfare through evidence-based research and collaborative practices continues to drive her efforts in the field.
