The Child Trauma Research Centre (CTRC), based at the University of Regina, is an innovative nexus for leading-edge child trauma research and for its dissemination with/in and for community. Research, dissemination, advocacy, and community are its foundational pillars achieved through the facilitation and promotion of partnerships between academia, government, service providers, and community organizations with a transdisciplinary and multi-sectoral approach. Through coordination of resources across sectors, the CTRC provides research capacity to inquire into and mitigate the multitude of impacts of childhood trauma in Saskatchewan, the Prairies, and Canada. The CTRC is committed to the reduction of the negative long-term health, social, and economic effects of trauma experienced in childhood.
