Mothercraft

Mothercraft is a community organization that, since 1931, has been working with many community partners to support healthy child development and strengthen families. Mothercraft is committed to excellence, continually testing new concepts and ideas related to healthy child development. The organization is known for its ability to translate these critical research learnings into the services it provides-from high-quality child care and enrichment programs, to services for children and families with special needs, and specialized training programs for child care providers and other professionals. Through its Breaking the Cycle program, Mothercraft delivers trauma-informed services to children and families experiencing parental substance use, mental health problems, and interpersonal violence. Through its Building Connections initiative, Mothercraft is currently conducting a national replication of its trauma-informed intervention for mothers and children experiencing interpersonal violence.
