SIAM

SIAM, les Services intégrés en abus et maltraitance, is a place where children and adolescents, aged 0 to 17, victims of maltreatment (physical abuse, sexual abuse and serious negligence) and their families, receive the help of a multidisciplinary team under one roof. SIAM's service approach is based on the goal of avoiding the revictimization of the children and adolescents they serve. In addition, support is provided to non-abusive parents in order to facilitate their child's optimal recovery. SIAM's collaborative approach is based on the integration of medical, psychosocial, socio-judicial, and police expertise. It allows for a holistic approach, offering children and adolescents the care and services they need without requiring them to move from one place to another (for example, a police station, hospital, prosecutor's office, etc.).
