Paul Frewen

Paul Frewen, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at Western University. He is a practicing clinical psychologist with expertise in complex trauma, he has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, has received several awards, and is in several leadership positions within the Canadian and American Psychological Associations (CPA/APA) and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS). Dr. Frewen is also Director of Frewen Meditations Research Lab whose research program aims to advance understanding of normal-waking consciousness, dissociative altered states of consciousness, and higher levels of consciousness, as they express in psychological health and wellbeing, and as they relate to recovery from psychological disorders.
