SIAM
Paule Vachon has been coordinator and manager of Services intégrés en abus et maltraitance (SIAM) since 2019. She has extensive experience in youth protection services, having worked for over 30 years in the health and social services system, including 17 years in management positions. She holds a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Laval.
Under her leadership, SIAM has developed an innovative partnership model between research and practice, particularly in the treatment of situations covered by the Multisectoral Agreement and the required assistance services. Ms. Vachon supported the efforts that led to the creation of the Canadian Consortium on Child and Youth Trauma.
Ms. Vachon and her team are mandated by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) to support the development of multisectoral consultation practices in various regions of Quebec. SIAM actively participates in various governance and sectoral reflection forums at both the regional and national levels, notably with the Association des centres d’appui aux enfants et aux adolescents du Canada(CAEAC), thereby contributing to the evolution of practices in the area of trauma and abuse among young people.
