Rae Shingoose

Yellow Thunderbird Lodge

Rae Shingoose is from Cote First Nation and is proud to have been raised and to have lived in her home Nation. She is deeply honoured to be called Mom by her three beautiful daughters. Recently, Rae and her husband became proud grandparents to their first grandchild—an honour she holds close to her heart as she embraces the role of Nohko (Grandmother) at this stage in her life.

Professionally, Rae has worked with Yellow Thunderbird Lodge – Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. since 2001, holding various roles throughout her career. She currently serves as the Director of Prevention Services. Rae holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Regina, and over the past 15 years, she has gained substantial experience in program and policy development, management, and service delivery.

Rae is especially proud to promote the work of Yellow Thunderbird Lodge Prevention Services. The primary focus of their efforts is to keep families together by supporting the reunification and repatriation of children and youth with their families and First Nations.
