Steve Geoffrion

Steve Geoffrion, PhD, is a professor at the School of Psychoeducation of the Université de Montréal and researcher and co-director of the Centre d'étude sur le trauma of the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal. He has more than ten years of experience as a youth protection worker, specializing in multi-trauma clients. Dr. Geoffrion's research program aims to improve the prevention of traumatic events in the workplace and to support the implementation of effective practices for the psychological care of workers. He is also involved in research to evaluate innovative interventions for trauma prevention, such as interventions using emotional assistance dogs.
