Sue McWilliam

Sue McWilliam (she/her) PhD, completed her doctoral and postdoctoral work at Dalhousie University in the Interdisciplinary Health Program (Health Promotion, Health Administration, and Sociology). Sue works as Learning Health System Consultant; she is a former Acting Advanced Practice Lead in Outcomes and Evaluation and the Trauma Informed Care Research and Evaluation Lead in the Mental Health Program at IWK Health. Her evaluation and implementation work focus on building trauma informed and responsive organizations and communities, program, policy, and resource development, data collection methodology design, and monitoring outcomes specific to evidence-based trauma treatment.  Sue’s research focuses on multi-sector collaboration, integrated youth services, infants/children/youth in care, prevention of interpersonal violence, prevention of sexual exploitation of youth, and supporting the design of a national blueprint for trauma informed care and trauma treatment.  Over the past 20 years, Sue has had the privilege of working side by side with wonderful, passionate advocates nationally and internationally in their shared pursuit of having governments recognize infants, children, and youth in care as a priority population.
