Valérie Hémond-Dussault

Valérie completed her Master's degree in sexology, research and intervention profile, at the University of Quebec in Montreal, where her interests focused on childhood interpersonal trauma, particularly sexual abuse, mindfulness and relationality. After having worked for more than five years in support relationships, both in the private and public sector, Valérie turned to research and teaching where she was a research and teaching assistant at UQAM in Natacha Godbout's laboratory, as well as for the Dr. Julien Foundation. Presently, she is a research assistant and portal coordinator for the Centre for Research on Children and Families at McGill University, directed by Dr. Collin-Vézina. She joined the Consortium team, where she contributes to various tasks and is involved in the Consortium's projects, including the Online portal, Analysis of practices and policies, and the Symposium. Since April of 2023, Valérie has started her private pratice as a sexologist in Thetford Mines.
