Isabelle Daigneault, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université de Montréal and a clinical psychologist. She leads the Research Laboratory on the trajectories of health and resilience of sexually abused young people (TRAJETS) and is a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Intimate Relationship Problems and Sexual Abuse (CRIPCAS) and the Sexual Violence and Health Research Team (ÉVISSA). Her research focuses on sexual assault of children and adolescents, including, 1) understanding the variability of life trajectories after sexual assault during childhood or adolescence, including the involvement of processes such as resilience or psychotherapy in subsequent psychological functioning, and 2) the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of sexual assault of children and adolescents, including the effectiveness of interventions to reduce the incidence of sexual assault among youth. Dr. Daigneault is also Associate Editor of the International Journal of Child and Adolescent Resilience.
